About Us

The Egyptian Association for Research Services, Clothing and Textiles traintex

It is a civil institution established by the owners of ready-made garments companies in 2007 with joint financial and technical support from the European Union and the Egyptian government through the TVET reform project, to be the implementing arm of the Chamber of Readymade Garments and Home Furnishings for all programs and projects related to training and qualification of workers in the ready-made garment sector and different economic sectors.

The vision of the Egyptian Association for Research and Training Services for Garments and Textiles

To become a beacon for the various economic sectors as well as the technical education sector and to contribute to reducing the level of unemployment at the national level, as well as contributing to increasing the competitiveness of Egyptian companies at the local and international levels for Egyptian companies and factories

The mission of the Egyptian Association for Research and Training Services for Garments and Textiles

1) Contribute to reducing unemployment rates by providing decent training and employment opportunities for young people of both sexes, with a clear focus on women.
2) Contribute to the reform of the various sectors by providing advice and technical support and facilitating access to financial support provided by local and international bodies.
3) Linking technical education and vocational training institutions to the industrial sector.
4) Assist in the development of the technical education and vocational training system.

The organization's Objectives

general objective : Training and employing job seekers from school and university graduates to work in ready-made garment companies in governorates with low standard of living and reducing unemployment equations, which leads to an increase in investment opportunities and an increase in the export rate.

The association aims to

1- Reducing unemployment rates among young people and those looking for permanent job opportunities
2- Develop the basic principles and concepts of research and training in the apparel, textile, industrial, technological and development sectors through lectures and specialized panel discussions.
3- Conducting training courses for workers in the field of clothing and textiles in the various industrial, technological and development sectors inside and outside Egypt to ensure the development of the garment and textile industry and various other industries
4- Exchange visits and cooperation with similar associations and bodies
5- Providing technical, verbal and written advice to novice workers in the clothing and textiles sector and in the various industrial, technological and development sectors.
6- Doing computer courses to keep pace with recent developments in factories and clothing companies
7- Establishing vocational training centers on professional crafts

Founded in March 2007, Traintex (Cairo -Egypt) is a private NGO created by really key company owners in Egypt.

Through a delegation contract, Traintex is the implementing arm of the Egyptian Chamber of textile Industry in the field of training, consulting, and relationship with projects.

Traintex is the pilot NGO model of Private Public Partnership (PPP) that will contribute to build capacity through training of trainers, supervisors and training managers and develop the competencies of the work force in the textile and ready made garment sector.
